These two lovebirds are affectionately know as Shake & Bake. They protect our flock from aerial predators and definitely keep us on our toes during mating season!

Wicked Welly Farm and Apiary is a family run farm in Belwood, Ontario. Our farm officially launched in 2023 with a goal to farm using sustainable, environmentally friendly practices and provide healthy, local products to our community.
Our 25-acre farm raises a variety of livestock on a small scale, has a honey bee apiary and does homemade preserves, maple syrup and freeze-dried products, all of which are sold at our on-farm store.
In 2024, we grew a ½ acre of organic vegetables as well as microgreens and have expanded to include flowers and herbs. In 2025 we are excited to offer a weekly vegetable box program along with a variety of fun and interesting workshops and events.
We also collaborate with other farms to offer our community a variety of seasonal fresh produce, fall decor items and more.
Wicked Welly Farm and Apiary is owned by Christine and John Veit. We moved from the rapidly growing town of Fergus in 2021 with dreams of raising and growing our own food in the healthiest way for both our family and the environment.
In 2023, we decided to focus on farming and John became a full time farmer. We opened the Farm Store that spring and began offering eggs, pastured raised chickens, honey, freeze dried candies and fruits. We have not looked back and continue to pursue our homesteading passions.
Our daughters Hennessey and Rowan are "city" girls at heart and the farm life isn't really their dream. Hennessey is currently at Humber College taking Film & Media Production and Rowan has goals of pursuing a degree in music after high school. They won't admit it but I think they will miss the farm soon enough.

Gaston takes care of his ladies, but has a wondering eye, and a sweet spot for our Emden Goose, Bake!
Nala is our beloved farm dog. Part Pyrenees and part Collie, she is super friendly and loves to chase chipmunks and squirrels. As our official greeter, it is likely she is the first one you will meet when you visit the farm.
